William G. Wess

Suddenly on Sunday, June 21, 2026 surrounded by his loving family Bill went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Bill was born in Pittsburgh the son of the late William J. and Teresa (Faerber) Wess.  Bill was the beloved husband of Joyce (Oniboni) Wess.  Cherished father of Eric (Shauna) Wess.  Loving grandfather of Evan, Skye, and Stella.  He was the uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by his infant son Evan Wess and sisters Amy and Cindy.  

Bill was born and and raised in Knoxville where he graduated from St. Canice High School and continued his education at Allegheny County Community College earning an Associate’s Degree.  Bill was a devoted catholic who was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish in Munhall, an active member of The Knights of Columbus Council # 2201 and attended his mens fellowship group on Saturday mornings.  Bill enjoyed fishing, golfing, bowling but what he enjoyed most was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass will be on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 11:30am in St. Thomas the Apostle Parish - St. Therese Worship Site followed by a Committal Service at St. Michael Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
