William F. Wulf

Passed peacefully in his sleep Saturday, February 14 at the age of 98 at the Arbors of Saint Barnabas in Gibsonia. He was born in Homestead, PA in 1927, the son of Lawrence and Gladys Wulf. Fred married Louise Ries in 1948, and they were devoted to each other until her passing in 2010. He was a machinist for US Steel before graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pittsburgh and taught machine shop at South Vocational High School for more than 30 years. Fred was a long-time member of Whitaker United Methodist Church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent and Chair of the Administrative Board for many years. Fred loved to sing and was an active member of the church choir before moving to the Village at Saint Barnabas. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving as Staff Sergeant. Fred was Past Master of the Masonic Lodge.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife Louise, son Tom Wulf, sisters Edie Carter and Dorothy Davies and his little dog Curly.

Fred is survived by his daughters Alice Wulf Wallace (Kevin Wallace) and Kate Wulf (Marianne Christianson) and his daughter-in-law Charlotte Wulf, as well as granddaughter Gabrielle, grandsons Zach (Katt), Bill, and Charles (Britt’Nee) as well as great-grandsons Freddie and Casey. The family would like to acknowledge and thank the caring staff and Fred’s many friends at Saint Barnabas.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 18 from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8 pm at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall, PA . Funeral Service will be February 19 at 11:00am at Whitaker United Methodist Church, 124 Arkansas Avenue, Whitaker, PA 15120. (Please meet at the church.)
