Anita Pesanka

Anita Pesanka on Saturday, December 12, 2020, age 63 of Key Largo, Florida. Born in Pittsburgh, PA a daughter of the late Peter and Adele (Rudek) Pesanka. Former wife of the late Jack McGlynn and Robert G. Lingenfelser. Beloved sister of Curtis M. Pesanka and the late Peter L. Pesanka, late Terri Pesanka and late Francis E. Pesanka. Loved by family John McGlynn, Tammy Donnick, Jovanni Rabelo, Vanessa Rabelo, Pesanka and Rudek families,  and many nieces and nephews; special friends Diane Jezdimir, Angie Sparks, Bob Nassaney, Linda Gibson, Lissette Robaya and Manuel & Myrium Coronado.

Anita worked for the Ocean Reef Country Club and for the Miami-Dade Public Schools as a Physical Therapist. Anita loved caring for her students and for her many dogs and birds including neighborhood cats and iguanas. She was an avid reader especially books by author James Patterson.

Anita will be remembered fondly for her love  of all animals. Her brother Curt shared this memory,  "One day while we were walking Anita's five dogs through her quiet Key Largo neighborhood a small owl flew/ dropped out of a tree onto her lightly-driven street. Anita started screaming "I WILL STOP TRAFFIC, YOU GRAB THE OWL"! I said "YOU GRAB THE OWL, I WILL STOP TRAFFIC" (Owl Scratch Fever?) I ran over to her fence, grabbed a beach towel to safely place the owl back up into its tree."
