Antoinette DiAngelo

Emblem

Our precious mother Antoinette Teresa (Vecchio) DiAngelo, age 91, of Elizabeth Twp., formerly of West Homestead, went to be with her Lord and Savior on August 21, 2019. Antoinette, who was mostly known as Toni; Born in Hays, PA on November 14, 1927. She is now reunited with her husband and our loving father Paul H. DiAngelo Sr. for eternity. Sunday, August 18, they would have been married for 71 years.

Her life will now be celebrated by her three children, Paul H. (Kathy) DiAngelo Jr. of White Oak, Darlene Manes of Elizabeth and Patricia (Glenn) Johnston of Greenock. Elvie Petrarca held a very special place in her heart and mom loved her as if she were one of her own. Our mother had seven grandchildren; Brian (Tracey) DiAngelo, Anthony (Cara) Greco, Dana (Justin) DeFonso, Jimmy Manes, Jason (Drenda) Manes, Jamie (Ben) Baker and Rebecca (Paul) Chioda. She also was blessed by having thirteen great grandchildren; Camryn, Bruno, Hayden, Greyson, Nevaeh, Jovanni, Riley, Jacob, Antoinette, Jade, Evan, Gianna and Harlon. In addition her other blessings included her step-grandchildren; Matthew, Bryan, Joe and Emily and step-great grandchildren, Morgan, Matthew, Mia, Marley, Brianna, Macie, Alexander and Damari.

Antoinette was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Irene (DiLucia) Vecchio as well as her siblings, Mary Wrobel, Connie Koprivich, Rose Monaco, Nancy Siyufy, John and Daniel Vecchio.

Antoinette was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Her nieces and nephews touched her life in a very special way. Known for sharing her “mouth-watering meatballs”, but not the recipe and for her ability to “Shop ‘til the mall closed”, mom made life special to everyone she came in contact with. She was a homemaker most of her life and during her school years at Hays Public School she received the American Legion and History Awards.

Mom received Salvation years ago when she gave her life to Christ. She accepted Him as her Lord and Savior and as her faith grew her desire to tell other of Him did also. She attended church at both Broadway Alliance as well as Judah Ministries. She had comfort in knowing that when God called her home she would finally be with Jesus and her loved ones. The Word tells us in 2 Corinthians 5-8 that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Mom is there and knowing that, the peace of God fills our heart for we will be with her once again for eternity.

Many thanks to OSPTA Hospice of Belle Vernon. Nurses Amanda, Shelly and John were a blessing. The care and love that they showed on their visits to Mom and our family was very comforting and appreciated.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 29, 2019 from 5-8 PM and Friday, August 30, 2019 from 2-9 PM, at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, 3511 Main Street, Munhall PA 15120 (412-461-6394) where a  Christian Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 10 AM with Pastor Michael Yuricha of Judah Ministries Officiating.
