Janet Nogan

Janni Nogan of Gibsonia, formerly of West Mifflin, on November 28, 2021 passed peacefully with her family by her side.

Janni was born in Homestead, PA the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Wertz) Nogan.  She was a former medical assistant and phlebotomist for Genesis Medical and Deer Lakes Medical.

She is the beloved mother of Abbey Larotonda, John (Jessica) Nogan and Alley Larotonda.  Cherished grandmother of Adalyn (Addie).  Janni was a special sister to her two brothers John Nogan and Ken (Jody) Nogan.  Proud aunt to Heather, Stephen (Lis), Garrett, Aaron, Kellie (Zach).  Special great – aunt to Tanner, Maverick, Beau, Grace, and Rose

She had a passion for playing board games especially Yahtzee, crocheting new born baby blankets, playing dominos, Disney especially princesses, themed parties, Steelers, the outdoors, talking on the porch and the beach.   Janni was a breast cancer and ovarian cancer survivor until March of 2020 when she was diagnosed with peritoneal cancer.  She fought a long hard battle with her friends and family always by her side.  Janni has always lived her life for her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.  She lived her life to the fullest with vibrance, fun and laughter.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8PM at the George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc., 3511 Main St. Munhall 15120 (412-461-6394) where a service will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 10:30AM.

Janni’s favorite color was “BLUE” so, if possible, the family would like people to wear blue during the visitation and the service.  Family also requests that donations be made in Janni’s name to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA  15205 or donate3.cancer.org
