Marsha Schempp, age 72, of Munhall, passed unexpectedly in peace with her family by her side on Friday, February 26th, 2021. Marsha was born in Homestead, PA on March 21st, 1948 the daughter of the late Marjorie Noroski-Kohlmyer and the late David Noroski. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Louis “Smokey” Schempp; the loving mother of Sheri (Al) Hawthorn; Brian (Dawn) Schempp; Scott (Tabby) Schempp; devoted meme of Kyle and Dylan Stramaski; Alyssa and Brandon Schempp; Morgan and Jordan Schempp; sister of Patricia (Roger) Nichol; Gaye (late Thomas) Bugel; and Lynn (Robert) Pusateri. She is preceded in death by her step-father Robert Kohlmyer, brother Frank (Nancy) Noroski and grandchildren Peyton and Louis Schempp Jr.
On weekends she enjoyed spending time between Lernerville Speedway and Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, where she will truly be missed by the entire racing community. She enjoyed crocheting dish towel holders and fleece blankets which she donated to Project Linus and gave to friends, family, and anyone in need with no recognition needed. Her other hobbies included hunting for the best bargains, heading to the Meadows with close friends and family and playing her “scratchies”.

Family and friends will be received at George Irvin Green Funeral Home 3511 Main Street Munhall (412-461-6394) on Monday, March 1, 2021 from 2 PM to 8 PM. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at 10 AM. A private Committal Service will take place at a later date at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
