Timothy Mitchell

Timothy Rhodes Mitchell passed away on Monday August 23, 2021, age 67 years of Pittsburgh; Born in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Alice (Boyle) and John “Jack” C. Mitchell. Tim was the proud & loving father and grandfather of “his girls”;  his daughter, Michelle Syska and granddaughters, Alyssa Cribbs and Rylee Syska;  Cherished brother of Kathy Stark (late Larry) and Late Jack Mitchell (Connie Baranik survives); Loving uncle of John Mitchell, Terry Mitchell, Jennifer Laverty (Jon), Michael Nau, Nicholas Nau, Alyse Stark, Shannon Simms (Jason), Erin Stark (Rich) as well as many great nieces, nephews and cousins. Also surviving are his former wife Denise Mitchell and mother of Brandon Mitchell whom Tim considered his family. He will be dearly missed by his grand-dogs Buddy & Bailey.

Tim proudly served our country in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the Steelers, penguins and Pirates. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and traveling. One of his favorite places to visit is Florida. He loved watching his granddaughter play softball.

Family and friends will be received on August 25, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM & 6:00 to 8:00 PM at George Irvin Green Funeral Home, Inc. 3511 Main Street, Munhall where a Blessing Service will be held at 4:00 PM.

A Committal Service will be held at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies at a future date.
