Emblem

Marjorie (Marge) Kennedy died on December 28, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

Marge was born on March 3, 1938 to Annabelle and Edward Bingham in Aliquippa, PA. When Marge was 12 years old the Bingham family moved to Munhall, and it was at Munhall high school that Marge met William (Bill) Kennedy, her beloved husband and best friend for over 64 years. Together they built a wonderful life in West Mifflin, raising two sons, William (Bill) and James (Jim) Kennedy, contributing to the community and making countless good friends along the way.

For several years she was a Registered Nurse at Homestead Hospital and then found great joy as a full-time mother to Bill and Jim. Marge was an active member of Homestead Park United Methodist Church, where she was a Youth Program Director for many years.  She enjoyed bowling, golf, and made wonderful memories traveling the world with her dear friends.

Marge is survived by her husband, William Kennedy, sons Bill Kennedy and Jim Kennedy, and her grandchildren Taylor Kennedy and his wife Elizabeth Kennedy, Ross Kennedy, Sean Kennedy and Todd Kennedy, her sister Barbara Stophel and her husband Richard (Dick) Stophel, brother Robert Bingham and his wife, Connie Bingham and many nieces and nephews.

At her request, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 5 at 11 o’clock at Homestead Park United Methodist Church.
